Licensing Your Pet Online

You will need following information in order to license your pet online:

New Registration:

  • Valid Rabies Certificate

Renewal Registration:

  • Current License Tag Number found on upper left hand corner of your
    Renewal Notice (L11-123456)
  • Person ID Number found on the bottom left hand corner of your Renewal Notice
  • Valid Rabies Certificate

Terms and Conditions

By licensing your pet online, you acknowledge that your pet license is not valid until the following requirements are met:

  • You must provide a copy of a valid rabies certificate to the City of Dallas—Pet Registration if applicable via one of the following methods:
  • If licensing an intact pet, you must submit a completed permit application via one of the above methods.
  • If licensing an exempt intact pet, you must submit supporting documentation via one of the above methods.

Your pet’s license tag will be mailed to you within 5 to 7 business days of receipt of all applicable required documents.
