Volunteer
Would you like to make a difference for shelter animals? Become a volunteer at Dallas Animal Services. Volunteers help fulfill our mission by assisting in many ways both in the shelter and in the community. There are a variety of duties performed every day and at almost all skill levels.
Here are some of the ways you can help:
- Adoption Concierge (greeting citizens in the Adoption lobby)
- Cat Room specialist (socializing cats, ensuring clean kennels, interacting with the public)
- Dog specialist (exercising dogs, teaching acceptable behavior, ensuring clean kennels, assisting the public)
- Kennel Comfort Specialist (ensuring kennels are comfortable and clean)
- Lost & Found Facilitator (assisting citizens as they enter the shelter)
- Offsite Adoption Specialist (assisting at offsite adoption events)
- Public Outreach (assisting in public education at events, schools, etc.)
- Rescue Coordinator Assistant (assisting with the process for rescue animals)
